Steve Phillips is the author of the The New York Times and The Washington Post bestselling book, Brown Is the New White: How the Demographic Revolution Has Created a New American Majority and the book, How We Win the Civil War: Securing a Multiracial Democracy and Ending White Supremacy for Good published in October 2022. The second edition can be ordered here. He is a columnist for The Nation and The Guardian and a regular opinion contributor to The New York Times. A national political leader and civil rights lawyer, he is a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress.
